Rajendra Kalkar is a professional with more than 30 years of experience spread over Sales, Marketing, Operations, Exports, Retail and Retail Real Estate and is a well-travelled seasoned and a well-recognized and a well-awarded professional with a varied business experience in various business leadership positions.

An Engineer by background with a PGD in Management, he is currently working as The President – West at The Phoenix Mills Ltd and is responsible for Leasing, Marketing, Retail Mix, Legal, Operations, Customer Relationship, Fit-outs, Projects, etc, including the Topline/Bottomline and the commercial success of Palladium & High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel, Mumbai and Phoenix MarketCity’s at Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.

His past experience in the Retail Real Estate includes – Head – Mall Management at DLF and Mall Management at Kshitij CapitaLand.

In the Retail Business line, he is the one responsible to start the Hypermarket Division for (erstwhile) Adani Retail Ltd, Ahmedabad and was the one who started the first big box Hypermarket of India at HyperCITY, Malad, Mumbai.

Prior to Retail, he was involved in F&B, Steel exports and Engg Sales and Marketing with major Indian and International Groups in various capacities.
